Book Review: A Chance at Forever

A Chance at Forever

Author:  Melissa Jagears
Publisher:  Bethany House Publishers
Pages:  345
Audience:  Women
Genre:  Historical Fiction

This is the story of Aaron Firebrook, a man on a mission to make amends for hurting others.  Aaron goes to Teaville, Kansas, his hometown and finds himself face-to-face with Mercy McClain, a woman he had tormented when they were in school together as children.  Try as hard as he might, Aaron will not be trusted or forgiven by Mercy.

Aaron becomes employed at the local orphanage where Mercy works as well.  This turn of events leads Mercy to understand that the past doesn’t have to predict a person’s future and Aaron is on his own journey of faith.

This is a beautifully written story about second chances, faith, love, and the healing grace of God. I would recommend this book; it has a great storyline; well-developed and realistic characters and it depicts the love and grace that God gives to all of us.

Happy Reading!
