Speaking of Jesus:
The Art of Non-Evangelism

Speaking of Jesus is about Car Medearis’s
experiences in sharing Jesus with others.
In this book, Mr. Medearis highlights the life of Jesus. Mr. Medearis states that he does not label
himself as a Christian but instead as a Jesus follower. He encourages that we should become familiar with
the life of Jesus and the lessons in the Bible Jesus lived for us. Mr. Medearis goes on to explore doctrine,
theology, and his opinion of being a Christian.
In his experiences,
Mr. Medearis would ask many thought-provoking questions to others, for example,
“If Jesus were present, who would he want
to spend time with?” Mr. Medearis
also touches upon getting rid of the words church or Christian in our
vocabulary due to how it has turned other individuals away from a relationship with
Jesus.
In sum,
I found this book interesting. The focus
on the life of Jesus, the encouragement to read the gospels and getting to know
Jesus is an important message. I would
recommend this book if you are interested in getting a different perspective of
how to outreach to others.
Happy Reading!
