Book Review: The Bridge

The Bridge

Author:  Karen Kingsbury
Publisher:  Howard Books
Pages:  320
Audience:  Women
Genre:  Fiction/Christian Romance

The Bridge is a beautiful story of a bookstore, born out of heartbreak, healing, and love.  Charlie and Donna Barton have both endured their share of suffering and heartache in their lives.  In the midst of a heart wrenching loss, Charlie and Donna created The Bridge bookstore.  The Bridge was created by Charlie and Donna to help other people.

In walks in Ryan Kelly and Molly Allen, two college freshmen on their own paths of self-discovery.  Ryan and Molly discover so much about their dreams, each other, and how the paths set before us have a tendency to change.

I enjoyed this book immensely!  Charlie and Donna Barton’s love for each other and others just jumps off the page and endears these two characters to you immediately!  Charlie’s great faith in God was such an example of how God wants us to lean on Him in all circumstances.  As for Ryan and Molly, their story is so enthralling.

Karen Kingsbury has a wonderful gift for writing impactful stories that envelope you and won’t let you go.  Frankly, I didn’t want this book to end!
